Oral paste for dairy cows for rapid and sustained increase in blood calcium levels. Used during the treatment of milk fever as an adjuvant therapy and/or as a prophylaxis of calcium deficiency during calving. The day of calving and the start of lactation (especially in high-yielding cows) is the moment when blood calcium levels drop the fastest and, consequently, the risk of milk fever and other metabolic diseases increases. Since the calcium in the paste is incorporated in two forms – as chloride and propionate, the paste guarantees a dual effect. Calcium chloride is absorbed immediately, rapidly raising calcium levels, while calcium propionate – slowly and gradually, guaranteeing a long-lasting effect. High-quality excipients reduce the irritating effect of the preparation on the mucous membrane of the rumen villi (a big difference compared to competing products). It can be used both as a preventive and as a supportive therapy after the injection of calcium preparations. Use for prevention: on the day of calving, using a special gun, inject the contents of one tube into the cow's mouth. To achieve the desired result, the contents of 2 tubes, administered at 6-hour intervals, are usually sufficient. When used as a supportive therapy during the treatment of milk fever: inject the cow with the contents of one tube 2 hours after the veterinarian's calcium injection. In case of acute milk fever (until the veterinarian arrives): inject the cow with the contents of one tube. N.B. before administering the paste, make sure that the animal has preserved its swallowing reflex!
